All roads lead to Goa Sunsplash and this year there’s more than just music waiting for you. Through out the beginning of each festival day we will be hosting several activities: We’ll be having forum discussions featuring headlining artists and a very special guest, as well as several dance classes, a Yoga session on dub music and a Binghi Drum circle!

Topic: Sound System Culture
Time: 2-3PM – Day 1
The origins of sound system culture in Jamaica and how it has spread across the world to become a worldwide phenomenon. This talk will feature Mikey Dread from Channel One Sound System, Kibir La Amlak, Delhi Sultantate from BassFoundation Roots Sound System and Earl Gateshead.
Topic: Indian influences on Rastarianism
Time: 1-2PM – Day 2
An exploration of the links between Jamaican and India and the influence of Indian migrants on the development of Rastafarianism. This talk will feature Donisha Prendergast (Bob Marley's granddaughter), Delhi Sultanate from BassFoundation Roots Sound System, Dakta Dub and Ninjahdread from 10,000 Lions Sound System.
Topic: Jamaica to the World
Time: 2-3 PM – Day 2
For a small island in the Caribbean sea, Jamaica's influence on music, dance and pop culture globally is immense. This talk will feature an all Jamaican lineup including Donisha Prendergast (Bob Marley's granddaughter) reggae superstar Anthony B, radio jockey, producer and singer ZJ Liquid and dancer Craig Black Eagle.
Dance Workshops
Craig Black Eagle
Time: 6.45 - 7.15PM – Day 1
A member of one of Jamiaca's premier dance crews will be conducting a dancehall workshop. Get ready for some electric energy!
Afro Dance Workshop
Time: 3-4PM – Day 1
An opportunity to learn some of the most popular dances from Africa. This class will be conducted by Mercy Doro, a Nigerian dancer and DJ who has made name for himself as one of the most popular African entertainers in Goa.
Everything Dancehall Showcase
Time: 6.30 - 6.45PM – Day 1
Featuring some of the finest dancers in India, this will be a showcase by students from the recently concluded Everything Dancehall workshop hosted by Smash Dem Crew.
Yoga on Dub
Time: 1:30-2 PM – Day 1
The original dub yoga flow experience with Jahnavi Sheriff, combining dynamic asanas with the power of dub music.
Capoeira
Time: 3-4PM - Day 2
Introduction to the Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music. This workshop is conducted by Axé (founder of Capoeira Goa) and his group.
Binghi Drum Chanting
Time: 1-1:30 PM – Day 1
Higher meditation experience with authentic Rasta chants.
